This road serves as a reminder of the high price of gas, the existence of traffic lights, other cars, and bilboards promoting yummy food stuffs. The road itself however, serves as a cold reminder of the fragility of life; the cracks that form because of time and/or natural disasters represent the physical and emotional scarring we all attain through simple and natural interactions with our peers. Yes, the road is a solid reminder of our own mortality and imperfections. Not to mention the constant maintenence they require, perfectly symbolizing how we ourselves require the assistance of others to put ourselves back together again once we have broken down, similar to Humpty Dumpty, but in a more fortunate light.
